Pure Refreshment in a Glass

One of the best things about spring and summer in Colorado is the wide variety of fruit beers that show up in our craft breweries. Many types of fruit beers were first brewed in Belgium and, here at Bruz, we like to make beers in the true Belgian style. We have just released two fruit blond beers, and a third fruit beer is coming soon.

As a base beer, we started with our Solange Blond Ale – a lighter version (5.2% ABV) of our classic Blondy Belgian-style Blond Ale (7.5%). Delicious on its own, Solange is very crushable and marries beautifully with a wide range of fruits. The malts and yeast give it distinctly Belgian character and complexity, and, as always at Bruz, we use only the highest quality fresh fruits and fruit purees. We never let the fruit dominate the flavor profile because we are making beer, not soda pop.

Raspberry-Lime Blond is a dusty red color with a pink head and an aroma of tart fruit and citrus peel. The aroma leads into big, vibrant fresh raspberry flavors with fresh lime and subtle malt in the background, and a clean fruity finish. It’s so tasty and refreshing, you’ll want more than one!

Pomegranate-Tangerine Blond has a deep golden color with an off-white head and a fruity nose with orange notes. Delicious and crushable, Pomegranate-Tangerine Blond is bursting with tangerine and sweet pomegranate flavors, is slightly tart and finishes clean and fruity.

Both Raspberry-Lime Blond and Pomegranate-Tangerine Blond are on tap now at both Bruz locations. And releasing on Friday, May 10th will be one of our truly remarkable sour beers – Da’Vine Revenant – a tart fouder-aged Saison aged on Marquette grapes. It will be available in both taprooms on draft and in limited-edition 500 ml corked and caged bottles.

Kick off spring and summer with these light, fresh beers and take them out into the sunshine!

Santé!
